Registered Nurse, Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCNR) - NSQIP

Detailed Overview

The Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR) is responsible for the collection, compilation, documentation and submission of reliable data to the NSQIP database of eligible surgeries of the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP). This is accomplished through high-quality clinical patient screening utilizing NSQIP criteria/protocols, data compilation, primary data interpretation, documentation and entry into the ACS NSQIP database of all eligible surgeries for designated sites. The SCR works closely with members of Surgical Services to identify opportunities for surgical clinical quality improvement and presents findings, interpretation outcomes and recommendations for surgical quality improvement.
