The Opportunity:
The Walking With Our Relatives program is a culturally grounded response team working in partnership with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) to create Pathways into Care for Indigenous community members who have experienced sexualized violence.
As a Registered Social Worker, you will be a vital member of our Indigenous-led response team, offering trauma-informed, culturally safe, and consent-based support to individuals (referred to as relatives) who come into Ka Ni Kanichihk following experiences of sexualized violence.
You will play a key role in helping relatives feel empowered, respected, and connected to both traditional and clinical supports. Working collaboratively with health services such as Klinic and the Health Sciences Centre, as well as Traditional Healers and Knowledge Keepers, you will walk alongside each relative on their healing journey.
