Regular Probationary Faculty – Modern Languages: Chinese. Salary: $71,846.00 – $115,129.00 per annum. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons based on curriculum guidelines
• Prepare necessary teaching materials, quizzes, tests, exams, etc.
• Assess and evaluate student competencies
• Plan and provide activities and materials for conversation labs to be used by the lab assistant(s)
• Provide academic advice to learners
• Deliver quality learner-centered instruction
• Hold regular office hours
• Maintain currency in the field through regular career development
• Participate in curriculum revision and development
