Job Summary


The Research Coordinator will be responsible for oversight of a grant-funded project involving Indigenous women’s health, based at the Indigenous Equity Lab at UBC and the Women’s Health Research Institute. This qualitative study seeks to investigate the menopause experiences of Indigenous women.

The Research Coordinator will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, Indigenous health leaders, and other care providers to gather and share knowledge about Indigenous women’s experiences of menopause care in British Columbia (BC) and across Canada. Results will be used by communities and other health system stakeholders to make recommendations for access to culturally appropriate menopause programs, services, and shared decision-making protocols that are driven by Indigenous stories, knowledge, beliefs, values, practices, models of health and healing, as well as clinical best practices.
