Residential Community Support Workers (Nanaimo - Casual Pool)

The Position

We are currently hiring for Residential Child and Youth Workers (Grid 11) on a casual/on‑call basis. Positions are unionised under BCGEU and offer opportunities for part‑time and full‑time work as they become available. Experience with challenging behaviours, ASIST Suicide training, de‑escalation techniques, and a minimum of one year working with individuals with significant mental health concerns or trauma will be given preference.

In Your Role You Will

• Independently work with client(s) toward achieving the goals set out in their Individual Support Plan (ISP), encouraging them during setbacks and celebrating successes.
• Support or supervise complex behavioural, emotional and social needs and development in the residence and during community activities.
