Description

Support The Salvation Army's mission as an Assistant Store Manager at Chinook Thrift Store in Calgary, AB. This position focuses on retail operations management and community service.
In this full-time role, you will assist the Store Manager with the overall operation of the thrift store. You'll manage safety protocols, oversee cash operations, and enhance the customer shopping experience. Training and developing staff will also be key aspects of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety of all customers and staff in the store
• Assist in planning store layouts and promotions
• Address customer issues in a prompt manner
• Support cash management in accordance with policies
• Supervise inventory retrieval, sorting, and pricing
Requirements:
• Retail Management or similar qualification
• Two years of retail experience, ideally in secondhand stores
• Experience in cash handling procedures
