Management of patients having or requiring:

• General post-surgical management
• Bariatric surgery
• Sepsis
• Pneumonia
• COPD management
• Diabetic management
• Osteomyelitis
• Pancreatitis

The Medical/Surgical unit at Piedmont Eastside uses:

• Bedside report handoff at change of shift
• Purposeful Rounding for safety and service
• Quality initiatives such as pain assessment and reassessment, pressure ulcer prevention, infection preventi...
