Safety Inspector

Overview

Versatile, self-starting individual that works well on their own, with very little supervision, to monitor and provide technical support to ensure safe and healthy working conditions are provided for the prevention of injuries and ill health. The Inspector will evaluate work sites to ensure construction operations are in compliance with EM 385-1-1, USACE Safety and Health Requirements, OSHA CFR 1926 Construction Standards, Federal, State, and local requirements. Will provide technical support to area supervisors/managers in recommending corrective actions for compliance deficiencies, conduct observations to monitor behaviors, and perform root cause analysis (RCA). Inspectors will be required to operate monitoring equipment and conduct specialized testing of physical, chemical, and environmental stressors.
