Seasonal Heavy Equipment Operator

Our Transportation and Utilities department is looking for a Seasonal Full-time Heavy Equipment Operator to mainly operate a water truck for our Operations Programs team in Gravel and Dust Control. The successful candidate will have the capability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment such as grader, dozer, gravel truck, loader, and bobcat. The position may be required to perform general labour duties as needed.

• Class 1 Driver's License and clean abstract.
• Experience towing a trailer (pup, flatbed).
• Willingness and ability to work long hours, including weekends when required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (water truck, bobcat, packer, backhoe, etc.).
• Ability to interact with members of the public and coworkers effectively and courteously.
• Physical ability to perform labour duties.
• Ability to use hand/power tools.
