Senior Claims Adjuster- Bodily Injury/Casualty (Waterloo)

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Leader, National Casualty and Bodily Injury Claims, you will have a track record of progressively challenging claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Senior Third Party Bodily Injury and Casualty claims, including Automobile, Homeowners, and Commercial third party claims.
• Engage all stakeholders in effective claim management, including underwriting and senior leadership.
• Confirm policy coverages, investigate claims to determine liability and quantum, and maintain detailed file records.
• Attend and participate in mediations, pre-trials, and settlement initiatives.
• Settle claims directly with claimants and Plaintiff’s Counsel.
• Direct and instruct Defence Counsel.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Operate well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
