Overview

This Senior Manager, Environmental & Social (E&S) Risk Governance & Controls role sits in the second line of defence and focuses on how the Bank governs, manages, and oversees Environmental & Social (E&S) risk, including climate risk, biodiversity risk, and human rights risk. The role provides guidance, enablement, oversight, and challenge regarding E&S risk; supports policy documentation, risk taxonomy, and qualitative risk appetite statements; assists in internal and external reporting on E&S risk; benchmarks the program against peers; leads special projects on E&S risk; and contributes to the ongoing maintenance of the control environment. This is a senior individual contributor role with meaningful scope and visibility, offering onboarding support and knowledge transfer in a collaborative environment. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, with in-office collaboration expected minimum three days per week.
