Senior Legal Advisor, Corporate and Transactional Law

The Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec is seeking a senior legal advisor to join its legal team responsible for providing legal support in corporate and transactional law. The role focuses on protecting the organization’s legal interests by ensuring compliance with all laws and safeguarding its rights and obligations.

Responsibilities

• Support the non-organic growth of various business sectors by participating in acquisition initiatives.
• Act as a legal advisor in strategic transactional and corporate files, including strategic investment files.
• Manage the portfolio of Desjardins Group companies, particularly through mergers, corporate reorganizations, intercompany financing, liquidations and dissolutions.
• Provide opinions on the various aspects of transactional and corporate law and companies.
