Senior Medical Technologist, Molecular Genetics

As a clinical Diagnostic laboratory we offer molecular genetics testing for Familial Cancers to confirm clinical diagnosis, carrier testing and predict the likelihood of response to therapy.

To work with considerable independence to perform complex molecular assays using a combination of traditional bench work and state-of-the-art instrument, the candidate is expected to have strong background in molecular genetics, DNA and RNA amplification and detection techniques including but not limited to: Genetic analysis of tissue, blood and bone marrow using a wide range of molecular techniques, capillary gel electrophoresis, quantitative RT-PCR and direct DNA sequencing. Candidate with an array-based technology experience and or DHPLC have an advantage.
