Sous Chef – Jasper Columbia Icefield, Canadian Rockies

Full‑time seasonal role for Spring/Summer 2026. Based at the remote Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, the position includes on‑site living with accommodations and three hot meals per day. Housing and meals are a taxable benefit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team while supervising food preparation and coordinating daily kitchen tasks under the direction of the Executive Chef and Head Chef.
  • Train, coach, and supervise the culinary team.
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation and execution of the menu to ensure consistent quality, technique, and presentation.
  • Place three weekly orders, following budgets and volume forecasting.
  • Coordinate with the Head Chef to ensure all equipment follows proper repair, maintenance, and preventive maintenance schedules.
