Description
Our client, an oil and gas company are looking to hire a Sr. Customs Advisor/Customs Specialist to their team for an initial 6-month contract with a possibility of extension/conversion. This role is currently hybrid, 4 days per week in office in Calgary.
Your responsibilities include:Provide Import/Export Guidance: Advise logistics teams and business units on pre- and post-trade activities, including commercial document requirements for customs clearance and risk mitigation strategies. Review Contracts for Compliance: Assess commercial contracts and agreements, offering recommendations on import/export terms to ensure regulatory compliance. Enhance Customs Control Framework: Conduct risk assessments on customs operations, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them while driving process improvements.
