**JOB DUTIES**:
- Coordinates and prioritizes design and product engineering activities in accordance with the business strategies and goals to reduce waste and maintain value to the end user.
- Designs products and components with safety, quality, durability, reliability, value, and assembly as priorities.
- Reviews Bill of Materials for proper routings, materials, structures, costs, and labor for product and packaging designs.
- Create and revise design specifications, material selection, and potential suppliers with regards to product design to meet quality and value requirements.
- Estimates project and product costs, leads assists with project justification, and recommends required materials and tooling.
- Provides support and direction on exception requests for products outside current specifications.
