What you’ll do

• As a member of the Safety Incident Management and Regulatory Compliance team, the Senior Safety Advisor is focused on managing BC Hydro’s relationship with external safety regulators (most particularly, WorkSafeBC), being aware of and influencing changes to legislation and regulation, and ensuring BC Hydro safety programs and processes effectively reflect those requirements.
• Identify, assess implications, and create awareness of external legislation and regulation that applies to BC Hydro operations.
• Interpret the requirements of those regulations for effective application into BC Hydro’s workplace. Seeking clarity with regulators when required.
