Staff Accountant

The RoleThe Staff Accountant prepares monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to facilitate the monthly accounting close; records quarter‐end andyear‐end closing journal entries; researches and explainsmonthly variances of balance sheet and P&L accounts; prepares ad‐hoc analysis around account balance differences along with proposed solutions to resolve; supports inter‐company transactions and reconciliations; and ensures accuracy and compliance of financial statement schedules in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the monthly close process and ensure all assigned close activities are accurately completed in a timely manner.Assist in the monthly preparation and upload of required data into Cognos (consolidation system).
