ING, an Amsterdam-based financial institution, announced the appointment of Ida Lerner as its next Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2026. She will succeed Tanate Phutrakul, who is set to step down at the company’s annual general meeting in April 2026. Lerner will also join ING’s Management Board Banking and will be proposed for appointment to the Executive Board and as CFO of ING Group at the same meeting. Her appointment has received approval from the European Central Bank. Lerner, a Swedish-Norwegian national, brings extensive experience from her tenure at Norwegian bank DNB, where she served as CFO since 2021. Before that, she held leadership roles in risk management and regional operations, and previously worked with HSBC and Nordea.
