Student Clinical Extern (Occupational Therapy)

Overview

The Occupational Therapy Extern works in collaboration with and under the direct and/or indirect supervision of an appointed regulated healthcare professional and under the mentorship of a Clinical Extern Coordinator to provide quality and safe patient care. OT Clinical externs can also shadow occupational therapists across various departments tailored to their interests, offering a well-rounded experience. 



Under supervision, you’ll perform essential patient care duties, contribute to accurate clinical documentation, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a team-based environment. This contract role includes comprehensive orientation, ongoing support, and the chance to work in a patient- and family-centered environment.
