Description
As a Superintendent, you will assume a leadership role by guiding project staff and ensuring the smooth functioning of day‑to‑day operations. Your responsibilities include overseeing safety and environmental compliance, quality control, developing and implementing field project plans and schedules, delegating work to staff, contractors and trade people, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Essential Responsibilities
- Hire and manage hourly employees as required to complete the project in consultation with the Project Manager.
- Ensure that site safety measures meet or exceed the parameters set out by the corporate safety manual, Workers’ Compensation Board or any other authorities.
- Ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and that efficiency in labour and materials maintains high quality standards.
