Description

Position Summary

A critical analysis of how disabilities are socially constructed and marginalized. Debates within and about disability studies are examined as are the links between disability and governmentality/bio-power.

Qualifications

  • Required Academic Degree: Master’s Degree
  • Required Discipline: Sociology or related discipline
  • Required Areas of Specialization: None
  • Required Professional Designation: None
  • Applicants must demonstrate professional training and/or experience relevant to the substantive content of the course. University teaching experience (course directorship; tutorial leadership not considered), evidence of explicit sociological orientation.
