Terrestrial Ecologist

Overview

We are SLR Consulting (Americas), a 1500+ team of advisory, environmental, engineering, and regulatory professionals across Canada, the United States, and LATAM. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines. We are Making Sustainability Happen. As our new Ecologist, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal. Role SLR Canada is looking for a full-time Ecologist to be based out of our Vancouver, BC office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work including environmental sampling and assessments: some local, and some remote requiring travel for up to two weeks at a time.
• Participate in wildlife surveys, including bats, amphibians, ungulates, breeding birds, and raptors, as well as wildlife salvage operations such as amphibian stream and pond salvages.
