Trim Engineer

Trim Engineer - Entry Level. Education: Last semester of engineering, textiles, industrial design, etc. (or other suitable technical degree preferred). None to 1 year job related experience (preferable).

Technical Skills

• Seat Patterning – Able to complete seat patterns.
• Understanding and applying one or more basic problem-solving techniques (e.g., BEP, Kepner‑Tregoe, Six‑Sigma, etc.) to help solve a real‑world issue.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process and requirements of a trim cover.
• Understanding and basic operation of seat equipment used in trim cover manufacturing (NC cutter, sewing machines, etc.).
• Trim cover sewing safety requirements within a trim cover.
• Knowledge of standard components used within a trim cover.
• Knowledge of material specifications and guidelines (cloth, leather, vinyl, etc.).
• Understanding of 2D component and product drawings.
• Change management and BOM control.
