Join the University of Alberta as the Grounds Manager, guiding the care of its landscape in an impactful leadership capacity focused on sustainability. This role is based in-person across Edmonton campuses.
In this essential position, you report to the Director of Buildings, Technologies & Grounds while leading a dedicated team of over 30 staff. You'll be responsible for the upkeep of a vast 5,800-tree inventory and the logistics involved in northern climate snow removal. Collaborating with the University Architect, you’ll ensure our landscape is both beautiful and functional.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the overall stewardship of the living landscape
• Direct precision care for trees and athletic facilities
• Oversee winter snow removal processes
• Inspire and lead a multifaceted team
• Handle service contracts and budget allocation
