Veterinary Externship Program at NVA

This program invites veterinary students to immerse themselves in daily hospital operations at NVA. Under the guidance of qualified Associate Veterinarians, externs will be involved in gathering histories, performing exams, treatment plan formulations, and assisting in surgeries. The length of the externship varies between two to eight weeks according to student and hospital availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze patient medical histories
• Execute physical examinations on animals accurately
• Formulate treatment plans alongside supervising veterinarians
• Assist in and observe surgical interventions
• Communicate with clients and support teams efficiently
