Overview
City Centre Animal Hospital is an urgent care facility in Airdrie staffed by 5 RVTs and 7 DVMs. NVA Canada’s Vet Technicians Practicum Program offers final‑year veterinary technician students an opportunity to gain real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patient care and clinical management under the supervision of veterinarians and experienced RVTs.
- Carry out laboratory procedures, anesthesia support, surgical assistance, and radiology imaging.
- Develop communication skills with veterinary teams and clients.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited veterinary technician program in Canada and completing the final practicum in the final year.
- Commitment to a practicum of 2–8 weeks.
