Support the lives of our elderly residents as a Volunteer Activity Assistant in Scarborough. Contribute to meaningful programs that enhance community and well-being for participants.
This role is based at 2030 McNicoll Avenue and requires a minimum commitment of six months with flexible shifts throughout the week. As an Activity Assistant, you will help prepare and implement programs that promote engagement and joy among residents. Your support and initiative will play a critical role in creating a positive atmosphere during activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with logistics for program setup, including seating and equipment
• Support residents in navigating various activity tasks
• Participate in outdoor activities and outings with residents
• Deliver daily newspapers to enhance resident communication
• Report task progress to supervising volunteers and staff
