Job Purpose
To oversee the production of wood wafers by processing logs through Waferizer and Debarker.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
Operates equipment controls to regulate speed of logs on conveyor, to cut logs and transfer wafers to set bins Coordinates process with Dryer Operator and Crane Operator Assists in changing knives, as needed Identifies control panel problems and operational problems Blows down waferizer area to maintain clean equipment Corrects log jams; unplugs bark from belts Monitors wafers going to wet bins and removes oversized wafers Expected to maintain 100% compliance with Environmental, Housekeeping standards, policies for area Expected to train other designated individuals safely and efficiently in operation of Waferizers Inspects and conducts routine preventative maintenance on Waferizers, Debarkers, B...
