Youth Counsellor (Permanent/Full-time) (St. Catharines)

Position Summary

The successful applicant to this position will provide relational‑based support to students in elementary and secondary schools or alternate environments, with a focus on promoting belonging, well‑being, engagement, and student success. Working collaboratively with school and system‑based professionals, the Youth Counsellor will support students through responsive, restorative, trauma‑informed approaches within an educational environment committed to student growth, inclusion and well‑being.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Child and Youth Care or Social Services Diploma (CAAT) or qualifications deemed equivalent by the Board.
• A valid Ontario Driver’s License with the ability to travel to schools within DSBN.
• Demonstrates ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and possesses strong organizational and time‑management skills.
